Ingredients

  • 300 grams Boneless Chicken
  • 1/2 cup Butter Milk
  • 1 Whisked Egg
  • 3/4 tsp Pepper Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 3/4 tsp Sea Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 cup All Purpose Plain Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

Instructions

  • We’re pretty sure these are not going to last in your house and they’ll get eaten up pretty quickly! Let’s cut up the boneless Chicken into small nugget sized pieces. You should get between 12 to 15 pieces depending on how you cut them.
  • To make the batter you’ll need a small glass bowl. Pour in 1/2 cup of Buttermilk, followed by 1 whisked Egg with the yolk, Pepper powder, Chilli powder and Salt to taste. Mix in all the ingredients together and drop in as many Chicken pieces into the batter so that each one is properly covered up. Set this aside to marinate for about 30 minutes while we prepare the next step.
  • Now we’ll prepare the crispy coating for our yummy golden nuggets.! You can use a glass bowl for this. Put in half a cup of Panko Bread Crumbs, 1/2 cup of Plain Flour, 1/2 tsp Pepper powder, 1/2 tsp Chilli powder, 1/2 tsp Garlic powder, Salt to taste (half teaspoon is ideal) and mix it up until everything is nice and even.
  • Now we’re ready to take the Chicken pieces one by one, and coat them up in our Bread Crumbs mix until each one is properly coated. Set the pieces aside on a plate as you do this. Finished? Great, that was easy right? We’re just minutes away from being able to eat and enjoy these heavenly appetizer. Let’s start to get the Air Fryer ready for the last step.
  • Remove the Air Fryer basket and coat the bottom with a little oil. Avoid using Palm oil as this could result in increased staining of your Air Fryer. More suitable oils are Avocado, Olive Oil, Peanut Oil or Sunflower Oil. Place the nuggets into the tray while making sure they are evenly spaced apart so can get nice and crispy. Give them around 8 minutes to fry on 400 degrees Fahrenheit (210 degrees Celsius). When they are halfway to getting done, remove the frying tray and flip the nuggets over onto the other side so they get cooked evenly on both sides.
