Who We Are
We are a team of foodies that grew up in the heart of England, U.K. Originally founded in 2010 and re-launched in 2023 with a modern user friendly magazine style aesthetic. Super Yummy Recipes is a taste first food site with a focus on sharing the most viral worthy eats that satisfy every crave. We create as well as publish authentic and modern twists that are tasted and tested content that covers food, drinks and desserts that satisfy our criteria of being both delicious and trendy to make and share.
We believe that cooking shouldn’t have to be difficult, so we ensure that as many of our recipes as possible are easy to cook even for beginners and yummy even for experienced chefs and bakers to enjoy. We believe no matter what you eat anywhere in the World it should taste delicious and actually work. The majority of our content is great to cook during weeknights while many meals are perfect for relaxed weekends to make family dinner special for everyone.
Our Story
Founded by two brothers Vishal and Kunal that are from Leicester, UK. For more than 20 years we’ve travelled around the World where our passion and love for food has grown year by year. Being raised in a city that has many diverse cuisines available, this influenced us from a young age to learn more about food across different cultures and cuisines. No fancy degrees just hands-on experience from travelling globally, eating, failing and succeeding in ordinary kitchens like yours.
We started this blog after years of chasing flavours across the globe and bringing them back to our own kitchen. From backyard grills in South America, bustling night markets in Bangkok to humble street food stands in Malaysia where we learnt more about food from so many diverse cuisines. We’ve eaten our way through countless dishes cooked by people who got taught from their grandparents and parents. Back home we would recreate these meals with much tasting ‘n’ testing while making necessary adjustments to spices or sauces even if it took 10 attempts to get the flavour bang on.
As our experience with home cooking grew over the years we saw how most recipe sites on the Internet are incredibly bloated and frustrating to use with ads in every corner, popups all over the place, long life stories and distractions of every kind before you get anywhere near the main recipe. This inspired us to create our own user friendly platform where we could share only the most yummiest viral worthy recipes in a trusted collection from all around the World to help you discover your inner chef.
Our Experience With Food
Our love for food started young through our Mom, Grandmother and her Father who used to be a Wedding Caterer who passed down lots of food knowledge and experience into our family. This was the spark that got us into travelling and tasting a wide variety of food and drink right from South America, to Europe into Africa as far as Asia and even South East Asia. We’ve tasted, cooked and tested more dishes than we can count.
Many times we find ourselves talking to restaurant owners and chefs about how they made their dishes to gain hidden insights into techniques and methods that they have learned over the years and used this knowledge to cook and practice making recipes not just at home but in kitchens all over the World. While we didn’t opt for formal food qualifications we took our love for food naturally by learning more about our passion and developed it into this tasty blog.
For more than 15 years we cook and bake everything from meals to drinks and desserts and share them with everyone whenever we have bbq’s, parties, events or just random last minute get togethers with our friends and family. We love to get feedback from all our guests to help us tweak and improve the recipes on this site to ensure that everything tastes just as yummy as it should.
Our Expertise and Background
Kunal first started to learn about food when he trained under various chefs about how to cook and prepare South Asian dishes which then led him into retail management which he has done for over 18 years for a business that donates proceeds to charity. He’s used his skills and knowledge to learn more about customer experience and what customers really want.
Both of us have spent over 10 years studying market and consumer trends research which is where we use this knowledge to ensure that if a recipe is on our site, it’s viral worthy otherwise it doesn’t make it into our collection. Vishal’s background is in Web Development for nearly 20 years which is what helped us to create this platform be user friendly, mobile optimized, easy to access and we used this expertise to create various free cooking tools and web apps for our readers to help them elevate their cooking skills.
We continue to create and share delicious fresh content for our visitors with a focus on giving readers the most user friendly experience we can without all the fluff. We cook, taste and test everything that is shared on this platform to help ensure everything is super yummy.
