Ingredients

  • 1 Cauliflower Head – Cut Into Bite Size Pieces
  • 1 Cup All Purpose Flour (120g)
  • 1 Cup Cornstarch (120g)
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • Wet ingredients
  • 1 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Milk of Choice
  • 1/2 Cup Of Hot Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • Buffalo sauce ingredients
  • 1 Cup Hot Sauce
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2-3 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Stick Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 60ml of Milk or 1 Tbsp Cornstarch Slurry In Water
  • Pinch of Salt and Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Lets start by preheating your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and then cut the Cauliflower into bite sized florets. Try to trim the stem and tough cores. Keep them aside for now.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, corn-starch, baking powder, nutritional yeast, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix well to combine.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the unsweetened milk of choice, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined
  • Firstly dip each Cauliflower into the dry batter shaking off any excess then dip each cauliflower floret into the wet batter, allowing any excess batter to drip off. Then finally, coat the cauliflower in the dry batter mixture one last time, ensuring each piece is evenly coated.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Arrange the coated cauliflower florets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  • Air fry the cauliflower at 375°F (190°C) for 15 to 18 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Once melted, stir in the Franks hot sauce, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Allow the mixture to simmer for a few minutes.
  • Add in 60ml of regular Milk on low heat, or if you want to keep the recipe Vegan friendly, prepare a corn-starch slurry by mixing 1 tablespoon of corn-starch with 2 tablespoons of cold water. Gradually add the slurry to the sauce while stirring continuously until the desired thickness is reached.
  • Once the cauliflower wings are cooked and crispy, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the prepared buffalo sauce over the cauliflower wings and toss until evenly coated.
  • Serve the buffalo cauliflower wings hot, garnished with fresh chopped parsley or celery sticks on the side. Enjoy them as a delicious appetizer or snack!
